Carole Cadwalladr, Professor Mark Andrejevic and Nicky Hager are expected to speak at the conference.
‘Surveillance and journalistic practice’ section includes the topics of source protection, encryption/de-encryption, surveilling war reporters, and surveilling investigative reporters.
Participants are going to talk over surveillance and gaming issues, as well as changes in global media after 9-11.
The conference will be held on 6-7 September at the School of Communication Studies, Auckland University of Technology.
